FAQs

How does your no-snap design work?   The unique cut and stitching of our babysuit creates two leg loops. These leg loops, along with our stretchy fabric, allow the bottom section of the garment to be pulled down and around the feet to easily get in and out. To close, the two loops gently and securely overlap between the legs around the diaper.

All of our clothing can be put on from over the head, or from the feet up (many babies prefer feet up to the shoulders).

How does it work for a diaper change?

How do you put it on?

What materials do you use? All of our products are made from either Certified Tencel or Organic Cotton. Both premium fabric options are super soft with just the right amount of stretch.

Eco-friendly fabrics are used exclusively so parents can feel good about the clothes their babies feel good in. We take pride in minimizing environmental impact and maximizing sustainability throughout the lifecycle of our clothing.

What are the advantages of Organic Cotton?

Organic cotton is grown without chemical pesticides or harmful fertilizers.  In addition to being safer for humans -- both short and long term -- the process of growing organic cotton is far less likely to contribute to global warming, acidification, and eutrophication than conventional cotton farming. Studies indicate that organic cotton cultivation also reduces the negative impact cotton farming can have on local water quality as well as biodiversity.

What are the advantages of Tencel?

Certified Tencel® is derived from sustainable wood (eucalyptus) - awarded the European Eco-Label, ensuring compliance with high environmental standards for production and products, as well as the OEKO-TEX 100 Certification, an international standard developed to certify that no harmful substances are contained in the fabric.  It is buttery soft, stain resistant, breathable and naturally anti-microbial.

What is OEKO-TEX Standard 100?

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified means that fabrics have been tested and are free of over 300 chemicals and known irritants. It's a higher standard that is better for skin, better for the environment, and better for parents' peace of mind.

Where are your products made? Our manufacturing takes place in a small production factory in Southern California that pays fair wages. We know the personnel personally and value their craftsmanship.

Is your packaging eco-friendly? Yes, our mailers are made from 100% recycled materials/97% post consumer waste. They are fully recyclable, naturally biodegradable, and made in the USA.

How did Peasy start? Peasy Co. was started by Sara, a mother of two, who has an understanding of motherhood, a desire for comfort and simplicity, and a heart for saving the planet.

“Realizing that popular onesie designs are outdated and covered in snaps and tedious buttons, while often made from cheap, disposable fabrics, I set out to design my own version. I wanted a timeless style without the fuss, in a buttery soft fabric for my babies. If I wanted this, I knew other parents would to. It started at home with one of my daughter’s old onesies, a pair of scissors and some thread, and with many revisions and hours of research later, it evolved into our perfect signature no-snap Peasy babysuit.”

We knew we didn’t want to stop there, though. Peasy quickly grew to be a full line of sustainable, progressive infant basics that are all baby, parent and planet friendly.  Sustainability is in our roots and we are so grateful that Peasy has allowed us to raise awareness for environmental responsibility, one parent, one baby, one purchase at a time.
